Attorney Bio
Leonard Martinez, was born and raised in west Denver, attending Our Lady of Presentation School and J.K. Mullen High School. He is married and a father of two children. Prior to pursuing his career as an attorney, Leonard stared as an active, multi-sport athlete. Growing upon that experience, Leonard now enjoys volunteering as a coach for various youth sporting disciplines. He is very active in youth sports programs through Notre Dame Elementary School in Denver and Bear Creek Junior Sports Association. He currently coaches youth baseball and girls youth basketball. He has taken an active role in fundraising for a wide range of programs including youth sports and youth scholarships. Over the last 12 years Mr. Martinez together with Genet & Martinez, PC has been contributors to the Latin American Education Foundation as well as other foundations. He sat on the Latin American Education Foundation Board for nine years and is a former president of the Latin American Educational Foundation.
Mr. Martinez is currently a board member of LARASA and is active in the Hispanic community.
Mr. Martinez, practices as a litigation attorney with emphasis in personal injury, workers’ compensation, employment law, criminal defense, and domestic law. He has handled a wide range of cases including construction law and breach of contract. Over the past 13 years Mr. Martinez has settled million of dollars in personal in jury claims. In 1994, Mr. Martinez worked as in intern in the Legislative Affairs Department in the East Wing of the White House. Mr. Martinez has acted as a political consultant for nationwide, statewide, and municipal campaigns. Mr. Martinez continues to be active in politics.
